Privacy Policy

Applies to: the Lunevo app for iOS and Android, published by Lunevo LLC.
The short version
Lunevo does not collect, store on company servers, sell, or share personal data. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Audio and configuration data are handled on your device and exchanged directly with the devices participating in your local Lunevo session.
How Lunevo handles information
Local music files. When you choose music through the system file picker, Lunevo imports a private app-owned copy so your library and playlists remain available. The app stores the audio file, embedded artwork, and basic metadata such as title, artist, album, and duration on your device. Lunevo LLC cannot access these files.
Direct device-to-device playback. An iOS device hosting a Direct session sends audio and track information directly to nearby participating devices using local or peer-to-peer networking. This traffic is not routed through Lunevo LLC servers, and Lunevo LLC cannot access or retain it.
Live audio input. If you choose Broadcast Audio Input, Lunevo temporarily processes audio from a connected USB or line-input interface and sends it directly to participating devices. Audio is not recorded to a file or transmitted to Lunevo LLC.
Speaker timing calibration. When an administrator starts automatic calibration, Lunevo uses the device microphone to listen for short timing tones played by participating devices. The audio is analyzed on the device to calculate playback delay, is not saved as a recording, and is not transmitted to Lunevo LLC.
Lunevo device setup and control. When configuring a compatible GL.iNet device, information you enter—such as a device name, Wi-Fi network name and password, and optional administrator password—is sent directly to that device over the local network. The app also exchanges audio metadata, playback controls, and configuration with the device locally. Lunevo LLC does not receive this information.
Settings stored on your device. Lunevo stores the information needed to provide its features locally, including your imported library and playlists, playback preferences, known Lunevo devices, delay settings, and credentials you ask the app to remember. Purchase status may be cached securely in the device Keychain. This information is not transmitted to Lunevo LLC.
Purchases. The optional one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. Lunevo LLC does not receive your payment-card details. The app uses the store's purchase APIs to determine whether the unlock is active.
What we do not do
- No personal data collected or stored on Lunevo LLC servers
- No analytics or crash-reporting services
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No location tracking
- No accounts, email registration, or sign-in
- No sale or sharing of app data
Permissions
- Local Network — discover compatible devices and exchange audio, metadata, and controls directly on the local network
- Microphone — user-initiated speaker timing calibration and live rebroadcast from a connected audio input
- Files and Media — import audio files that you explicitly select for your local Lunevo library
Permissions are used only for the features described above. Microphone access is user-initiated, and Lunevo does not make or retain microphone recordings.
Children
Lunevo is not directed at children and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Lunevo changes in a way that affects this policy, this page and its effective date will be updated.
